I have made many friends over the time with the Fictioneers. I even convinced a few of my friends to join a project to collaborate on a fiction story. Due to a popular requests I am keeping Detective Sophie Marcus as my main character for these weekly photo adventures. In previous installments Sophie is brought in to investigate a murder at a writing conference. “Look, I was desperate,” David Stewart declared.
“You photographed Appleby for blackmail?”
“Do you realize how much one of these cost?” Stewart asked as he rested his finger on the photo of the mixed up animal. I have triplets and a wife that don’t understand the word prototype.
“You owe money?” Marcus asked.
“I want a deal. You get the one who ordered the hit.”
“The hit?” Sophie repeated, her eyes narrowing. “A deal for murder, not blackmail.”
“Okay,” Stewart nodded. “I owe over a 100K to Sustainabilitea Press. Janet told me it was erased when Karen Kelly was removed.”

Inventive tale. Great job! Personally, I would have difficult with the serial flash, but it is a great challenge. It takes it up a notch and definitely gives your story structure, probably taking it to an unknown destination.
Very clever. Enjoyed it.

I think they should stand alone – but I voted differently because I thought your poll needed opinions on your serial flash and I am enjoying discovering each week how you tie the next prompt in. There is definitely talent involved in serialising flash fiction.
Kudos for this week’s write too.
I think serials are interesting if done right, and I’ve seen some good ones from FFF writers. Personally, I can’t hold a thought long enough to string two back-to-back.
As far as the story goes, it was good, but I had a little trouble following the dialogue.
