So you have heard of Blog Tours, Blog Challenges and Blog Lists. Now let me share with you a chance to grow your list of blogging friends with something I found during the April A to Z Blog Challenge last year. It comes from a blogger by the name of D.L. Hammons and is called the Blog Blitz.
Basically D.L. is a Robin Hood of sorts, but he does not steal from anyone, he just serves up the opportunity to be a friend for a few minutes by visiting another;s blog and offering a word of encouragement. Blogging can be a solitary adventure, unless you have hit the mother lode and have a regular legion of faithful fans who read and comment on you blog regularly.
Enter D.L. and his band of merry Blitzers who will descend like ninjas on your blog and fill up your notifications queue and your confidence will skyrocket because you know someone else is reading. Anyone can join, but the expectation is you will make an honest effort to follow through when he issues the instructions about the Blitz targets, He ususally does this once a week, and occasionally twice.
