Weekly Photo Challenge – Escape

This week the Weekly Photo Challenge topic is Escape. So what would i want to escape from? Winter. Why? If you lived where I did this past winter you would have so many reasons for wanting to go somewhere else. To begin this response I will add some photos of the snow we dealt with this winter.

So there you have the reasons for y desire to escape. Bu then we must determine somewhere to escape to. As it happens I visited a great place that has no threat of Winter weather as I know it just priro to the start of all this madness. It is a small country in Central America, one that I have blogged about many times since returning from my trip. In December I was blessed to be part of a mission team that traveled to the country of Belize.

In contrast to my home, the temperature was in the high eighties to low nineties every day with nighttime temperatures in the seventies. The most seminal juxtaposition came when I was sitting at an open air restaurant in Old Belize with a warm breeze blowing in while “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas” played.

Thank you for visiting and following my blog. Escape can be as easy as going on a photo outing or reading a book. Sometimes sitting in a quiet place and meditating does the trick. Take care!
