October photo a day challenge – #01 Hello October

City Sonnet has an ongoing challenge with specific subjects for each day of the month.

Hello October! Could you remedy the mess left by September and share some of your fall colors? Also maybe some cooler temperatures and a little rain? Many of us so look forward to this time of year when the cooler air you share with September and November touch the leaves and trigger their fantastic color show. But stubborn old Summer seems to be lingering with the blessing of September, eager to extend hot weather indefinitely.

If you don’t help us out the corn mazes, fall mum fields and pumpkin patches will be long gone before Halloween! Fall football games are more fun with the cooler weather too! I know frost is your buddy and it is possible we might have to weather that, but we all know that is part of the process.
