September photo a day challenge – #26 Sculpture

City Sonnet has an ongoing challenge with specific subjects for each day of the month.

This piece of sculpture honors Frank Beamer, the head coach at Virginia Tech for 29 years where he amassed a 238–121–2 (.663) record.

I found this at the international airport in Greenville South Carolina in the early morning hours of the day I flew to Central America in August.

    Love this photo! I always feel weird saying it but honestly, I see the most interesting sculptures/art in airports.
