We come to another Wednesday which to 100 or so hardy souls means it is time to fib. Ben rumbled up the steps toward the ever increasing wail of his bride of thirty two years. She had been over the edge for eight days and now it seemed she was even more out of sorts.
“Honey, what’s wrong now?” Ben asked.
“That, that thing. It’s going to ruin everything!”
Ben looked from their top floor balcony in the direction she pointed. A tractor and hay wagon sat broken down between two houses across from their home.
“What will they think? This is my big break.”
“I am sure the reporter from Cosmo won’t care.”
“I want it gone!”

A great take on the narcissistic ‘diva’ – that lurks in all of us! 🙂
It’s not always about you! I don’t think she “gets” it. Thanks, Nan
Drama queen! But, this is also sad in a very unique way.
Ha!ha!Too cool-love this unique take:-)
Poor Ben looks like the lady’s histrionics won’t subside until he’s moved the poor broken down things! Well written, Joe.
She’s right. Move it!
My spouse can attest that I have my overly emotional moments. Thankfully, I’ve never been that bad. 32 years? Ben is gunning for sainthood.
Cheers!
