52 Week Photo Challenge – Wk 1 – Goodbye

I stumbled on another photo challenge and since I love using my Nokia 820 Windows Phone to capture snapshots all over the place I thought this would be another great challenge. The host of this particular challenge is Jeanne’s Blog …A NOLA Girl at Heart. The post that I am responding to is number 1 of 52, with the theme Goodbye.

I chose the post above which was taken on May 26, 2013, near sunset on the day my son said goodbye to high school. It was a goodbye he was eager to complete, unlike the millions people are forced to make each day. The photo was actually taken with an iPod by one of his friends, but I think it just perfectly captured the mood of the day.

If you would like to participate in the photo challenge that starts this week check it out here: 52 Wk Photo Challenge – Wk1 Goodbye.

  1. Joe, great interpretation of the photo prompt…kids are so anxious to grow up, if they only knew what they were getting themselves into….

We are just beginning this phase. My son wants to jump ahead to the job that will let him have his own place and a family and I keep trying to explain there are no shortcuts, you have to do it all in order.

So you took time to read what I wrote and I appreciate it, but comments are even better!
