Five Sentence Fiction – Celebration

Lille McFerrin provides a weekly one word prompt and asks us to take five sentences to create a response.  There is no word limit with this particular challenge, just a limit to the number of sentences. Be creative and tell your story. Thanks Lillie  for giving us a new word each week.

She lugged the suitcases through the airport, looking for the counter that matched her destination. Four years of bruises, threats and humiliation was over. She wondered how long until the panic attacks and feelings of inferiority would pass from her mind. Stepping onto the plane she felt an odd feeling of confidence. I want to share another opportunity for those of you who love writing flash fiction. Red Dwyer and Redmund Productions offer a quarterly publication that gathers 250 flash fiction stories according to a specific theme and set of words during a thirteen week time period. Right now is the fall session and several words are already in play. There is still over a month to go with this, so hop on over and try your hand: http://mommasmoneymatters.com/flash-fiction/
