Hello and welcome back to the weekly fiction exploration led by the fabulous
Rochell Wisoff-Fields each week. I wish I could say I made time to read everyone’s posts this week, but that is not true. In fact, it has not been true for a few weeks. I guess I should feel bad, and I do somewhat, but I have a great reason or actually list of reasons. You see I am blessed to have over three acres to tend and Spring and Summer is a very busy time. Between caring for the lawn and our love of flowers and vegetables I just have very little extra time. Couple that with the push to get my fiction novel ready to go out to Beta Readers by September 1st and I am busier than a sore tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs.
I want to share a couple of pictures of my garden with you so you can see what I mean.
The photo this week is from Randy Mazie. Even though I have not tried much humor, because sometimes I just cannot concoct a funny story I wanted to give it a shot this week. Hopefully the crickets can be held at bay.

“Why‘re you looking at me like that?”
“I never saw a goat in a graveyard before.”
“Well, I was looking for a place to hide,” said the goat
“The farmer. He wants to ship me off for someone to eat.”
“Who sent you here?”
“Some block headed kid. He had a yellow shirt with a black stripe.”
“Was there a football involved?”
“Yes, he’d just tried to kick one and this crazy girl jerked it away from him.”
“That happens a lot. He probably has brain damage.”
“Really! Who would send a goat to a graveyard to hide?
