If you do not know about the Friday Fictioneers it is a wonderful little weekly gathering where we use a photo to tell a story. Each week our lovely counselor in residence, Rochelle Wisoff-Fields, posts the photo that launches a grand adventure for those of us infected with this condition. All around the world writers eagerly await their weekly tonic.
This week I chose to continue my story started four weeks ago about a woman who escaped an abusive relationship by ridding the world of her husband in the prompt named Freedom Flower. I added the second installment concerning the detective assigned to the case in Equine Wisdom. After that was one where Detective Sophie Marcus caught Clarice in a lie The Lie Exposed. Last week Clarice began her explanation of why she did it with When Ugly Is Truly Beauty. This week the story ends with the following 100 words.
(Genre: General Fiction)

“This is a photo of the place we met. He had to show me the replica motorcycle he built with his father,” Clarice cried, wiping tears with both hands.
“Mrs. Carr I asked you to stand and turn around!” Detective Marcus ordered.
Clarice looked her in the eyes to see no hint of sympathy. Realizing she was at the end of the line, she complied.
“Clarice Carr you are under arrest for the premeditated murder of your husband!” Marcus clicked the handcuffs on Clarice’s wrists and moved her toward the door.
“Detective? What would you have done, if you were me?” Clarice asked.
“Honestly Mrs. Carr I would have shot the son of a gun!” Marcus answered.
