Daily Prompt – Seven Days

You wake up tomorrow morning to find all your plans have been cancelled for the next seven days and $10,000 on your dresser. Tell us about your week.

I would become the poster child for international travel. I would cram a suit case full of clothes, grab my passport and be off to the airport.  One of my fondest desires is to see more of the world. This sounds like the best opportunity to do that.

I think I would start in Europe. My first destination would be London. There is so much to see there, including Buckingham Palace, Big Ben and so many other places. Then I would make my way through Ireland and Scotland.The castles and the countryside would be my sites of interest here.

Next I would head for France. I would of course go to the top of the Eiffel Tower. The Notre Dame Cathedral and the Champs Elysses would be other points of interest. Then I would be off to Italy. The Leaning Tower of Pisa, Rome and a visit to Venice would probably be all I would have time for in Italy.

Somewhere in all this I would detour to the Netherlands. Probably swing through Germany as well. There is just so much to see in this great big world of ours. From here I would continue on to China, then Japan, and finally to Alaska. In the fiftieth U.S. state I would rent a car and begin the drive back home.

I really want to visit the United States west coast. I have seen most of the Atlantic Coast, but have seen so many movies and television shows set on the west coast that it looks so interesting. The Rocky Mountains and Badlands would be other places to travel through as well as the sunflower fields in Kansas.

I know I probably would use up my seven days and $10,000 very quickly, but what good is the money when you are finished in this world? It is something for others to fuss and fight about.  Perhaps I would see some of you on my adventures. Let me know what I would want to see in your homeland.
