Daily Prompt – 1/7/13 – Helplessness

The Daily Prompt for today is this: Helplessness: that dull, sick feeling of not being the one at the reins. When did you last feel like that –- and what did you do about it?

dAILY PROMPT

You may find this hard to believe, but the last time I felt helpless was over three decades ago. It was before I became a Christian. Since the moment I walked to the front of my growing up time church, knelt and prayed to ask Christ to save my soul I have never felt helpless. This is an experience I wish everyone could have. The surety that you are not alone. The hope that no situation is so dire that you cannot overcome.

People like to think they are totally in charge of their own life. In truth we are not. If you believe in Evolution, you will probably stop reading before now, but I believe in Intelligent Design. There is no way all this happened by mistake, or in a Big Bang. God made everything, including you. Having Him love you and guide you will mean that helpless is something you never have to know or fear again.
