The prompt is: You are an astronaut. Describe your perfect day.
What an experience this is. I am on the International Space Station, floating above Earth, the one solid thing I ever knew in my life. From here it looks so small, but is breathtaking. I suppose this is a view few beings ever get to enjoy. I imagine God looking at earth somewhat like this, considering it just a small picec of His wonderful creation.
Seeing such beauty is one of my favorite parts of being an astronaut. The fact that I am away from my home for an extended period seemed such an inconvenience at first, and is to some degree, but what an experience to witness all this. Not only do I get to look at the scene, I get to be a part of it in the space walk later today.
One hundred sixty five days will pass quickly I know, but the memories will stay with me for my lfietime.
