Waiting for the final seconds to tick off the clock was agony. I had pined my whole life for this moment, the view of the fabulous fireworks over the coastal waters. Since childhood I heard of the beauty of the sight. I had sold many items to make this journey, a problem to be dealt with another day. For now I was finally enjoying my lifelong dream. The colors reflected into my eyes, promising a lifetime of joyful, colorful  memories. If only my soul mate could share it with me.

Sad that such a life-long wish will be over in a few moments and won’t be shared. Nice story.

  5. Oh I found it this time! Yay. I’ve tried to get through several times and couldn’t. Enjoyed your story. It’s wonderful to have a dream come true, it’s even more wonderful to be able to share that experience with someone you love.

  6. Dear Joe,
I think this link took…at least it came to my email. Sweet story. I agree with Ted, I’d hate for readers to miss out on this one.
    Shalom,
    Rochelle

  7. I finally found this just by going to your blog from your comment. The link you sent didn’t work either. Good story, though.

‘a problem to be dealt with another day’… said a lot. Hopeful but sad tale, Joe. I could feel his journey… or is he a she?
