What can be better than a boys night out? Boys night out with a slam dunk contest and a very hotly contested, high quality basketball game at the 30th annual Arby’s Classic High School Basketball tournament. This tournament has been a staple during the week after Christmas in Bristol, Tennessee, but 2012 was the first time I was able to enjoy.
We manged to catch the Slam Dunk contest which is held on the Saturday night of each tourney run. Following we saw a hotly contested game between Mentor High of Mentor, Ohio and Memphis Melrose of Memphis, TN. Mentor won the game and will move on to the championship on Monday against either a team from Germany or another American team that played a late semifinal after we left to come home. I think boys night rocks!!
