Wonderful Team Member Readership Award

I try to read a few blogs every morning as it allows me to hear other voices. During my time on WP I have read some wonderful work by other writers. One of these writers is Kim Ling (I think that is right). She posts under Tranquil Dreams, but i always dig into the About page to figure out, if I can the actual author’s name so i can personalize my comments.

This morning I was reading Kim’s post about receiving an award, namely the Wonderful Team Member Readership Award. I was reading through her post, scrolling to the end to congratulate her when I caught sight of my own blog title. I realized she was nominating me for this award, which was a pleasant surprise.

The rules for accepting this Wonderful Team Member Readership Award is this:

  • Display the logo on his/her post/page and/or sidebar
  • The Nominee must finish this sentence and post: ”A Great reader is…”
  • Nominate 4 readers they appreciate over a period of 7 days (1 week) – this can be done at any rate during the week. It can be ALL on one  by Browse to Save” href=”http://rarasaur.wordpress.com/2012/12/23/wonderful-team-member-readership-award/#”>day or a few on one day and a few on another day, etc., naming his or her nominees on a post or on posts during the 1 week period.
  • The Nominee shall make these rules, or amended rules, keeping to the spirit of the Wonderful Team Member Readership Award, known to each reader s/he nominates.

A Great reader is one who not only reads your post but stops to comment. In our hectic and attention starved world, there is a small percentage of people willing toshare enough of their precious minutes to give their opinion. But it is not enough just to comment, but the great readers consider their words and add a positive piece to the discussion.

Here are 4 posts that I enjoyed over the course of the last few days and would now pass on this award to them:

S.L. Hoffman http://eagleeyededitor.wordpress.com/

I invite you to check out the solid writing and differing opinions these fellow writers offer for your reading pleasure. Be sure to perpetuate the blogger admiration as you pass the award along!

Beautiful definition of great readership! So well-written. 🙂 Maybe you should change your “Leave a Reply” to… “Add a Positive Piece to the Discussion…” Congrats on your award!

😀 Oh, it’s easy when you know where to go… just go to your Dashboard, and on the right side menu, click “Settings” and then “Discussion”… and it’ll bring up a page with a lot of settings. The very last field is a field box called “COMMENT FORM PROMPT”, where you can type whatever you want. 🙂

  5. Congrats on your nomination. I think a great reader is… one that comes and engages in the post with a thoughtful comment. They are the most appreciated.

So you took time to read what I wrote and I appreciate it, but comments are even better!
