I like the way others including Tilda Swift come up with imaginative ways to inspire others to add to the conversation on WordPress with creative challenge prompts. It not only broadens the scope of posts, it allows us to get to know each other a little better. The Internet can be a very impersonal space, with people choosing Nom de Plumes that are symbolic or ironic, but not necessarily revealing of their person or character.
If you follow a person’s writing and they continue to write from their heart you can begin to glean tidbits about them. This is an invitation for those who desire to share a piece of their life with us to describe the one that completes them. Using only 500 words, I would like to meet your significant other.
So as to be inclusive of all, I will also extend this to those writers who have yet to find your One. In your case you can tell us what you want your One to be like. Everyone has a framework of what they use to look for the perfect mate, so you have something to share.
This is actually a two part challenge as I would like for the person you write about to do the same for you. I know every writer does not have a writer they care deeply for, so you may have to do the writing, but we want to hear their feelings about you. This is an exercise of freedom as i will not frame the responses except to request you keep it clean, since the audience can vary. You can make the response a separate post, just tag it the same, but in your post note that it is a response.
Use the tag Meet My Spouse, even if it does not necessary apply as the collection I put in my title is too long. You can also use Joe’s Blogging Challenge as i intend to offer something similar at least a couple of times each month going forward. That way they will collect in a way we can continue to add participants.
I will wait a couple of days before I put mine together as i try to limit my posts to no more than two per day. I also want to get a few pictures together to illustrate as I encourage you to do. Please let me know what you think about the challenge in your comments.
Very good blog! Do you have any tips for aspiring writers?
I’m planning to start my own site soon but I’m a little lost on everything.
Would you recommend starting with a free platform like WordPress or
go for a paid option? There are so many options out there that I’m totally overwhelmed .. Any suggestions? Thanks!
